FILMMAKERS STATEMENT

We are very excited to be sharing with you the creative vision behind the wedding films we create together. My goal is to intentionally share with you my creative process, visual style, and vision behind the wedding films I collaborate with couples.

I am a firm believer in that the stories we tell will pollinate, and bear fruit for generations to come.

VISION

The wedding films I create go beyond the wedding, and invites viewers into the couple’s story. These wedding films are for: The Real. The Authentic. The couples who yearn for their story to be told & shared to the newly befriended, the near and dear, and all the generations in the inbetween. The viewer will go on an emotional journey, connecting with the couple’s story.

VISUAL STYLE

The wedding films I create are shot handheld or locked off on tripods. Shooting handheld allows for a more natural & human tone, elevating the couples’ stories. The use of gimbals are usually not used.

We capture the real, and raw moments as if we are a close friend on your wedding day. Capturing non-wedding day footage is also a huge part of our wedding films; we believe using everyday footage (couples sessions) adds to the couples’ stories, bringing to light the realness in the relationships.

REAL MOMENTS

Memories are not built by the things we acquire, but by the collection of memories we have felt throughout life. Giving time to the couple brings out the real, the raw, and all of the athentic. I may be just a guy with a camera... but I desire so much more for my couples: to build memories through the littlest of moments.

SHOOTING STYLE

We try our best to not pose couples, but instead we facilitate moments that allow the couple to be real & authentic. We advocate for tender moments with one another, and those close.

Shots such as walking with one another, eating food together, playing games at a carnival or pier. These shots are influenced by movement and the activities that bring out the silly.

COUPLES SESSIONS

We collaborate with couples to include places built around sentimental memories. Locations like the proposal or frequent date spots. Places that hold meaning to the couple’s story.

TONE

Our films are nostalgic, soulful, and heartfelt. Films that whisk viewers back to a time that bring out the warm & fuzzy feelings. Films that transport people back to relive all the little, and big moments.

AUDIO STYLE

Throughout our wedding films, ambient sound that was collected throughout the days of filming will be used. Things like conversations with your significant other, parents, siblings, and bridal party. The backbone of the films are vows & speeches, sprinkled throughout the wedding films.

ELEMENTS OF MUSIC

The music we use will help elevate the stories of our wedding films. We will try to avoid cliche, and overtly emotional scores but instead using a more ambient style of music; we will also work with acoustic, indie, and folk style type of music.

STORYTELLERS

Like the Native American proverb goes, “those who tell stories rule the world”. imagine having the power to facilitate conversation because of your story. Your wedding film is more than a video, but the beginning to a conversation.

The stories we tell will pollinate, and bear fruit for generations to come.
